| | | | | What To Eat Before Your Workout | | | | | |
Before you head to the gym for your 60-minute-session workout, you need foods that will boost up your energy. Just make sure you don't overeat and always think light when choosing your pre-workout foods. Following are some good picks:
Eggs Eggs are high in protein. However, do try to avoid egg’s yolk, which is high in fat and cholesterol.
Water We all know the ideal – 8 glasses per day. However, too much water is not recommended as the necessary minerals and vitamins could be flushed out as a result.
Potatoes A 4-ounce potato provides 30 grams of carbohydrates. Potatoes are one of the top sources on the list to provide carbohydrates.
Pasta One cup of past contains 50 grams of carbohydrates.
Chicken Breasts A 4-oz chicken breast contains approximately 35 g of protein. Instead of frying, grilling and baking of the chicken breasts are recommended and the fattening skin should be peeled off as well.
Yogurt Being a healthy and refreshing snack, yogurt is a good source of both protein and carbohydrate.
