|How to make friends at work|
One of the worst thing that an office professional has to face is the loneliness or having no friends to which he or she can share what is in his mind. You can just assume friends as your extension. They can fill up all of your empty and blank spaces. They are also responsible of making you smile when you have got fed up with the office work. There’s no doubt having friends will allow you to stay more happy and work in a more friendly and warm environment. But if you are working in an organization for a long period of time and still face loneliness, then there can be some problem with you. You are required to determine yourself and acknowledge and mistake or problem. You may be needed to change your interpersonal skills. There are few tips that can be adopted to achieve the task.
Interact with each other:
People who are working in an office love to talk to each other. It is not only necessary for the sake of organization but also necessary for self relaxation. You should interact with your colleagues as much as you can. Confining all the things to your self will make you distinct and separate in the eyes of your colleagues and hence you will not be able to utter a single word. As a result, the colleagues will also not wish to talk to you.
Don’t just talk – Do Listen:
Many people just impose their own ideas and thinking on everyone without even listening to the next person. This is a very undesirable behavior and people really don’t like it. The behavior can mostly be observed in bosses but it can also be found in colleagues. Therefore, if you are this type of person, then you should also listen to others, recognize what they are saying and give an appropriate feedback. This is extremely necessary to make good friends at work.
You should artificially create opportunities to have fun meetings. If your boss is not much interested in the mental relaxation of his employees, then you can arrange one picnic party by yourself. Either you can go to watch a movie or can have fun on a seaside. Therefore, if you see that you are confined to your office building for months, then you should create opportunities to have some outside fun.
Always give a helping hand:
If you proved to be helping and cooperating in one’s work you will become really generous and kind in the eyes of your colleagues. Business ethics also teach you that you should help anyone whom you can do it possibly. You can ask your juniors regarding any problem or confusions in the work. This will also remove barriers in the way of seniors and juniors. At the same time, people will also tend to move towards you – because you are a good helper.
Making friends at work is really necessary if you want to work in a warmer and friendly environment. To achieve the task you are required to talk to your co workers, listen to their talks and always give a helping hand to them.
